Silly season is finally over and we get to breath and sleep tight again. Some say this one has been the silliest season ever, but hey! we had some laughs… and some tears.. and some interesting new talented names added to the grid… I’m sure they will give a lot to talk about, but for now, here you have this 5 facts that you probably didn’t know… about Jehan Daruvala

1.- Born in Mumbay, India, he started his karting carreer in 2009 at the age of 11 years old under the wing of the famous motorsports talent developer Rayomand Banerjee, who is now one of the most important karting trainers in India and a very close friend.

2.- In 2011, when he was 13 years old, Jehan earned the support from the “One in a Billion” program, organized by the Academy of the former racing team Force India. This progam had the goal of seeking and supporting racing talents all over the country.

3.- Jehan completed a test for McLaren on the Silverstone track back in june of 2022, but he had actually joined the RedBull Junior team In 2019 after being invited by Helmut Marko himself. This Red Bull contract, by the way, was released at the beginning of 2023.

4.- Jehan has a very old friend in the current Formula E grid. They shared teams back in 2011 during their karting days and years later destiny brought them back together in Formula 3 as part of the Carling Motorsport team in 2021… oh dear Dan Ticktum we meet again.

5.- Jehan Daruvala is not only quick on the steering wheel but also on the keyboard since he was able to get a Commerce degree studying online while traveling and racing. Yes, I can also listen to his father telling him to get an actual profession.
