This time, on the water
Monaco, Montecarlo. July 28th 2024 – This last Sunday marked the conclusion of the first ever All-Electric Raceboat event on Monegasque waters. Being the pilots Sam Coleman and Emma Kimiläinen the ones who lifted the golden trophy and gave Team Brady their third victory of the season.
It all started on Saturday July 27th, when the Qualifying session took place and Team Rafa’s pilots Cris Lazarraga and Tom Chiappe took the Pole… but actually, the history of Monaco and the New All-Electric Raceboat Category, the UIM E1 World Electric Powerboat Series, started way before that.

On September 25th of the year 2020, the Monaco Yacht Club became the venue for the launch of the championship; signed and celebrated by the Founder of Formula E and Extreme E Alejandro Agag; Rodi Basso, former Director of Motorsport at McLaren, and Dr. Raffaele Chiulli, President of the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM); making Monaco, once again, the place where the best Motorsport categories are cooked, served and eaten.
Fast forward to July 2024, after so much developing, partnering, planning, team building and event organization, the principality finally got to witness their first ever Electric Raceboat event taking place on the waters of the Monaco share of the Tyrrhenian sea.

With the two qualifying sessions completed on the 27th, everything was set for the race to take place on Sunday, July 28th. And once Team Brady was declared the winner, it was in the books that the iconic city of Monaco had given one more step towards the future of racing, even beyond the cars, the tires and the romance with their legendary street circuit.

With this event, the first season of the E1 Series World Championship has left behind three of the seven races scheduled for 2024. Next season calendar hasn’t came out yet, but it is expected to get longer and longer as it grows in audience and investments.
Now, the 9th teams, funded, managed and sponsored by 9 high profile celebrities from the entertainment industry, along with their 18 top class pilots, are heading to the next, and fifth, race that will take place in Lake Como, Italy, on August 24th.
